Theengineisshippedfromthefactorywithoutoil
soitmustbelledwithapproximately1,005cm

ounces)ofoilbeforestarting.Checkthelevelofoil
beforetheengineisrststartedanddailythereafter.
Theengineusesanyhigh-qualityoilhavingthe
AmericanPetroleumInstitute-APl-“service
classication"SJ,SLorequivalent.Oilviscosity
-weight-mustbeselectedaccordingto
ambienttemperature.Figure20illustratesthe
temperature/viscosityrecommendations.
