•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine.
•Securethemachinefromrolling.
CleaningtheMachine

WARNING
Themachinemaydislodgematerialfrom
underthemachinehousing.
•Weareyeprotection.
•Stayintheoperatingposition(behindthe
handle)whentheengineisrunning.
•Donotallowbystandersinthearea.
Forbestresults,cleanthemachinesoonafteryou
havecompletedmowing.
Important:Thoroughlycleanthemachinedeck
immediatelyafteruseontreatedgrass.
Note:Donotspraytheenginewithwaterduring
cleaning.
1.Movethemachineontoaatpavedsurface.
2.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Removegrassdebrisfromthetopofthedeck
housingimmediatelyafteruse.
4.Removeallgrassanddebrisfromtheengine
includingtheexhaust/exhaustguard,the
airwaysinthetopcowl,andthesurrounding
deckusingabrushorcompressedair.
5.Lowerthemachinetoitslowestcutting-height
setting;refertoAdjustingtheCuttingHeight
(page10).
6.Washouttheareaunderthereardoorwherethe
clippingsgofromtheundersideofthemachine
tothegrassbag.
7.Attachagardenhosethatisconnectedtoa
watersupplytothewashoutport(Figure20).

8.Turnthewateron,starttheengine,engagethe
bladeandrunituntiltheclippingsnolonger
comeoutfromunderthemachine.
9.Shutofftheengine,shutoffthewater,and
disconnectthegardenhosefromthemachine.
10.Starttheengineandrunitforafewminutesto
drytheundersideofthemachinetopreventit
fromrusting.
11.Shutofftheengineandallowthemachineto
coolbeforestoringitinanenclosedarea.
12.Cleanupanyspilledoilorfuel.
