Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringit.
1.Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuel
stabilizertothefuelasdirectedbytheengine
manufacturer.
2.Runthemachineuntiltheengineshutsofffrom
runningoutoffuel.
3.Allowtheenginetorununtilitshutsoff.
Whenyoucannolongerstarttheengine,itis
sufcientlydry.
4.Removethewirefromthesparkplugandleave
loose.
5.Removethesparkplug,add15ml(0.5oz)of
oilthroughthespark-plughole,andpullthe
starterropeslowlyseveraltimestodistribute
oilthroughoutthecylindertopreventcylinder
corrosionduringtheoff-season.
6.Installthesparkplugandtightenitwithatorque
wrenchto23N∙m(17ft-lb).
7.Tightenallnuts,bolts,andscrews.
8.Storethemachineinacool,clean,dryplace.
RemovingtheMachine
fromStorage
Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
