Adjusting the Self-propel Drive
Cable
Whenever you install a new self-propel cable or if
the self-propel drive is out of adjustment, adjust the
self-propel drive cable.
1• Loosen the cable support nut (Figure 29)•

Remove the blade, saving all mounting hardware
(Figure 27)•
Install the new blade and all mounting hardware
(Figure 28)•

2. Pull down the cable jacket (toward the mower) until
there is no slack in the cable (Figure 30).

60 ft-lb (82 N-m).
