enginetocoolbeforestoringinanyenclosure.
•Whenstoringthemachineformorethan30days,referto
Storage(page18)forimportantdetails.
PreventingFreeze-upafterUse
•Lettheenginerunforafewminutestopreventmoving
partsfromfreezing.Shutofftheengine,waitforall
movingpartstostop,andremoveiceandsnowfromthe
machine.
•Cleanoffanysnowandicefromthebaseofthechute.
•Rotatethedischargechuteleftandrighttofreeitfrom
anyicebuildup.
•WiththeignitionkeyintheOFFposition,pullthe
recoil-starthandleseveraltimesorconnecttheelectrical
cordtoapowersourceandthemachineandpushthe
electricstartbuttononcetopreventtherecoilstarter
and/ortheelectricstarterfromfreezingup.
•Insnowyandcoldconditions,somecontrolsandmoving
partsmayfreeze.Donotuseexcessiveforcewhen
tryingtooperatefrozencontrols.Ifyouhavedifculty
operatinganycontrolorpart,starttheengineandletit
runforafewminutes.
•Donotusethechutecontroltoattempttomoveafrozen
dischargechute.Holddowntheblueknobanduseyour
handstorotatethechute.
•Transportingthemachineinanopentrailerorvehiclecan
causethecontrolsordischargechutetofreeze.
