theblade-controlswitch(PTO),andturnthekeytotheOFF
position.
Engagetheparkingbrakewhenyouleavethemachine;refer
toEngagingtheParkingBrake(page16).Rememberto
removethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhileitis
unattended.
Alwaysremovethekeyandengagetheparking
brakewhenleavingthemachineunattended,even
ifjustforafewminutes.
UsingtheSideDischarge
Themowerhasahingedgrassdeectorthatdisperses
clippingstothesideanddowntowardtheturf.
DANGER
Withoutagrassdeector,dischargecover,ora
completegrass-catcherassemblymountedin
place,youandothersareexposedtobladecontact
andthrowndebris.Contactwithrotatingmower
blade(s)andthrowndebriswillcauseinjuryor
death.
Neverremovethegrassdeectorfromthemower
becausethegrassdeectorroutesmaterialdown
towardtheturf.Ifthegrassdeectorisever
damaged,replaceitimmediately.
Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthemower.
Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaormower
bladesunlessyoumovetheblade-controlswitch
(PTO)totheOFFposition,rotatethekeytothe
OFFposition,andremovethekey.
Makesurethatthegrassdeectorisinthedown
position.
AdjustingtheHeightofCut
Themachineisequippedwithafootpedaldeck-liftsystem.
Theoperatorcanusethefootpedaltoliftthedeckbrieyto
avoidobstaclesorlockthedeckinthehighestheightofcut
ortransportposition.Theoperatorcanusetheheight-of-cut
leverwiththefootpedaltolockthedeckinaspeciccutting
height.
UsingtheFootPedalDeck-LiftSystem
Pressthedeck-liftpedaldowntoraisethedeck;continue
topressthepedaluntilthedecklocksinthetransport
position(Figure26).
Pushonthedeck-liftpedalwithyourfootandpullthe
transportlockhandlerearwardtodisengagethetransport
lock(Figure26).
