A.Addfuelstabilizer/conditionertofreshfuel
inthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
thefuelstabilizermanufacturer.Donot
useanalcohol-basedstabilizer(ethanolor
methanol).
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystemfor5minutes.
C.Shutofftheengine,allowittocool,and
drainthefueltank.
D.Starttheengineandrunituntilitshutsoff.
E.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recyclethefuel
accordingtolocalcodes.
Important:Donotstorefuelcontaining
stabilizer/conditionerlongerthan
thedurationrecommendedbythe
fuel-stabilizermanufacturer.
13.Removeandchecktheconditionofthespark
plug(s);refertoServicingtheSparkPlug(page
37).Withthesparkplug(s)removedfromthe
engine,pour30ml(2tablespoons)ofengine
oilintothesparkplughole.Usethestarterto
cranktheengineanddistributetheoilinsidethe
cylinder.Installthesparkplug(s).Donotinstall
thewireonthesparkplug(s).
14.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.
Repairorreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
15.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paint
isavailablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
16.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea.Removethekeyfromtheswitch
andkeepitoutofreachofchildrenorother
unauthorizedusers.Coverthemachineto
protectitandkeepitclean.
StoringtheBattery
1.Fullychargethebattery.
2.Letthebatteryrestfor24hours,thencheckthe
batteryvoltage.
Note:Ifthebatteryvoltageisbelow12.6V,
repeatsteps1and2.
3.Disconnectthecablesfromthebattery.
4.Checkthevoltageperiodicallytoensurethatthe
voltageis12.4Vorhigher.
Note:Ifthebatteryvoltageisbelow12.4V,
repeatsteps1and2.
BatteryStorageTips
Ifyouarestoringthebatteryoutsidethemachine,do
thefollowing:
•Storethebatteryinacool,dryareainanupright
position.
•Donotstackbatteriesdirectlyontopofeachother,
unlesstheyareincartons.
•Donotstackmorethan3batteries(only2ifthe
batterytypeiscommercial).
•Testawetbatteryevery4to6monthsandcharge
it,ifnecessary.
•Alwaystestandchargethebatterybefore
installation.
