detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthemachine.
Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthecontrol
panel,undertheseat,aroundtheengine,hydraulic
pumps,andmotors.
Washtheundersideofthemoweraftereachusetoprevent
grassbuildupforimprovedmulchactionandclipping
dispersal.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,remove
thekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Attachthehosecouplingtotheendofthemower
washouttting,andturnthewateronhigh(Figure66).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethecouplingslideoneasierandprotect
theO-ring.

blade-controlswitchandletthemowerrunfor1to3
minutes.
6.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,shutoffthe
engine,andremovetheignitionkey.Waitforall
movingpartstostop.
7.Turnthewateroffandremovethecouplingfromthe
washouttting.
Note:Ifthemowerisnotcleanafter1washing,soakit
andletitstandfor30minutes.Thenrepeattheprocess.
8.Runthemachineandmowerbladesagainfor1to3
minutestoremoveexcesswater.
9.Turnoffthemowerblades.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithabladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
