Tractor Setup Procedures

Install Front Wheels

Install front wheels onto the tractor axle, ensuring correct washer and cotter pin placement.

Install Seat

Activate the Battery

Prepare the battery by filling it with electrolyte and charging it before installation.

Fill Crankcase with Oil

Add engine oil to the crankcase, checking the level carefully against the dipstick.

Mower Discharge Chute Setup

Remove shipping pin and ensure the mower discharge chute is in the correct down position.

Level the Mower

Adjust mower side-to-side level and front-to-rear blade slope as per manual instructions.

Lubricate the Tractor

Refer to the Operator's Manual for proper greasing and lubrication procedures.

Insert Key and Check System

Insert the key into the ignition switch and verify the safety system is functioning.

Purge Hydro Transaxle

Remove trapped air from the hydro transaxle by operating the drive control in specific positions.

Check Hydro Neutral Position

Adjust the traction control pedal linkage to prevent creep when the pedal is not engaged.

Check Traction Control Pedal

Verify the traction control pedal does not contact the footrest before reaching its stop.

Check Shift Cable Adjustment

Adjust the shift cable for smooth gear engagement if the lever movement is firm or difficult.

Test Drive the Tractor

Perform a test drive to ensure all electrical and mechanical systems operate correctly.

Check Mower Adjustment

Confirm mower side-to-side level and front-to-rear blade slope are correctly adjusted.
