1.Usealetosharpenthecuttingedgeatbothendsof
eachblade(Figure30).Maintaintheoriginalangle.
Thebladeretainsitsbalanceifyouremovethesame
amountofmaterialfrombothcuttingedges.

abladebalancer(Figure31).Ifthebladestaysina
horizontalposition,thebladeisbalancedandcanbe
used.Ifthebladeisnotbalanced,lesomemetaloff
ofthebacksideoftheblade.Repeatthisstepuntil
thebladeisbalanced.

1.Installeachblade,bladeretainer,curvedwasher
(cuppedsidetowardblade),andthebladebolt
(Figure29).
Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblademust
bepointingtowardtheinsideofthemowerto
ensurepropercutting.
2.Tightenthebladeboltto45to60ft-lb(61to81
N-m).
RemovingtheMower
1.Parkthetractoronalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethebladecontrol(PTO).
3.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Movetheheight-of-cutlevertothelowestposition.
5.Removethemowerbeltfromtheelectricclutch
pulley(
Figure32).
