Recording Audio Select (XP)
Selecting the Sound mode
3) Select “Recording Audio Select (XP)” using
[K / L], then press [ENTER].
Option window will appear.
4) Select “PCM” or “Dolby Digital” using [K / L],
then press [ENTER].
“Dolby Digital” is selected as a default.
PCM:
Records PCM audio for the best quality sound.
Dolby Digital:
Records Dolby Digital audio for good quality sound.
5) Press [SETUP] to exit.
Notes
“PCM” stands for Pulse Code Modulation. It changes
analogue sound to digital sound without compressing
audio data.
When the recording mode is set to other than XP, the unit
records “Dolby Digital” audio automatically even if you
selected “PCM”.
You can enjoy high quality sound recording. This
function works only when the recording mode is set to
XP.
1) Press [SETUP].
2) Select “Recording” using [K / L], then press
[ENTER].

This unit can receive bilingual broadcasts.
You can switch between modes by pressing [AUDIO] on
the remote control. Each mode is indicated on the TV
screen as follows.
