How do I watch one channel
and record another?
To watch live TV on one channel while the
DMS records another, put the DMS into
Standby mode. To do this, press the ON/
STANDBY button on the Digital Media
Server’s front panel. Then use your TV’s
remote to change channels. Because this
signal simply passes through the DMS, it
has no TiVo service functionality (so you
can’t pause or rewind live TV).
To watch video from your DMS again: First,
press the TiVo button so that the DMS
displays TiVo Central
®
. (This will not
interrupt any recording in progress.) Then
press the Input, or TV/Video button on your
TV’s remote until you see TiVo Central.
