1.7 DVD-R/-RW Drive
A full-size DVD-R/-RW drive module lets you record data to rewritable CD/DVD as well as run
either 12 cm (4.72-inch) or 8 cm (3.15-inch) CD/DVDs without using an adaptor. It is a high-
performance drive that reads DVD at maximum 8-speed, writes DVD-R/-RW at 1-speed, and
reads CD at maximum 24-speed (3,600 KB per second).
The DVD-R/-RW drive is shown in figure 1-8. Specifications are listed in Table 1-6.
