1.8 DVD±RW (DVD Dual) Drive
This full size DVD±RW drive module lets you record data to rewritable CD/DVDs as well as run
either 12 cm (4.72-inch) or 8 cm (3.15-inch) CD/DVD without using an adaptor. It is a high-
performance drive that reads DVD at maximum 8-speed, writes DVD-R/-RW at 2-speed,
DVD+R/+RW at 2.4-speed and reads CD at maximum 24-speed (3,600 KB per second).
The DVD multi drive is shown in Figure 1-9. Specifications for the DVD multi drive are described
in table 1-7.
