3. Adjustment Procedure

1. Download the MD adjustment program into the player.
(See 2. Install Process on page 4-5.)
2. Connect the video out of the player to a monitor.
3. Open the tray and insert the vertical deviation disc.
(Press only OPEN/CLOSE key. Do not press PLAY key.)
4. Wait for the error rate displayed on the monitor.
Skip to around the sector 200000 (chapter 15).
5. Adjust R-Skew with L-wrench to minimize the error rate.
6. Adjust T-Skew with L-wrench to minimize the error rate.
7. Repeat 5 and 6 procedures until the error rate becomes
the following value.
SVD-3561: below 30
TDV-533: below 100
(Fingerprints or dust on the deviation disc may increase
the error rate.)
8. Check for picture condition at the chapter 1 and the
chapter 16 of the disc.
9. After the adjustment is completed, download the original
firmware.
