3.19 HEAD CLEANING
3.19.1 Program description
This program executes head loading and seek/read operations for
head cleaning. A cleaning kit is necessary for cleaning the FDD
head.
3.19.2 Operations
1. After pressing 4 and Enter in the DIAGNOSTICS MENU, the
following message will appear.
DIAGNOSTIC FLOPPY DISK HEAD CLEANING: VX. XX
Mount cleaning disk(s) on drive(s) .
Press any key when ready.
2. After above message appears, remove the Diagnostics disk,
insert the cleaning disk, and press any key.
3. When the Cleaning start message appears, FDD head cleaning
will begin.
4. When cleaning is finished, the display automatically returns
to the DIAGNOSTICS MENU.
