3.22 FDD UTILITIES
3.22.1 Program description
These programs format and copy floppy disks, and display dump
list for both the FDD and the HDD.
1. FORMAT
CAUTION: The program is for only floppy disk drive test. The
program is different the MS-DOS FORMAT command.
This program can format floppy disk (5.25-inch/3.5-inch) as
follows.
(1) 2D:Double-sided, double-density, 48/67.5 TPI, MFM mode, 512
bytes, 9 sectors/track.
(2) 2DD:Double-sided, double-density, double-track, 96/135 TPI,
MFM mode, 512 bytes, 9 sectors/track.
(3) 2HD:Double-sided, high-density, double-track, 96/135 TPI,
MFM mode, 512 bytes, 18 sectors/track.
2. COpy
This program copies from sours floppy disk to target floppy disk.
3. DUMP
This program displays the contents of floppy disks (both 3.5" and
5.25") and hard disk (designated sectors) .
3.22.2 Operations
1. After pressing 7 and Enter key in the DIAGNOSTICS MENU, the
following display will appear before program execution.

1 FORMAT
2 COpy
3 DUMP
4 EXIT TO DIAGNOSTICS MENU
