Appendix H BIOS Rewrite Procedures
This Appendix explains how to rewrite the system BIOS program when updating the system
BIOS.
Tools
The following tool is needed to rewrite the BIOS:

Rewriting the BIOS
1. Set the system to Boot Mode.
2. Turn off power to the T3400/3400CT.
3. Remove the optional PCMCIA card and all external cables, except the AC adapter.
4. Connect the external 3.5-inch FDD.
5. Turn on power while holding down the F12 key. (Hold down the key until the
system speaker beeps.)
6. When the BIOS update message is displayed, insert the BIOS rewriting disk into
the FDD. Press the Enter key to start the BIOS rewriting.
7. When the process is completed, eject the rewriting disk and press the reset switch
to restart the system.
