Automatic High Beams*
Daytime Running Light system (DRL)
Automatically turns on under certain conditions to make vehicle more visible to other
drivers. Not for use at night. (The parking brake needs to be released and the headlight
switch must be in the

while the vehicle is on.)
Automatic light cut off system (AUTO)
- Headlights are on: The headlights and taillights will turn off automatically 30
seconds after the vehicle is turned from ON to “ACCESSORY”
mode or OFF and a door is opened and closed. (If the “
switch on the Smart Key remote is pressed after all doors are
locked, the lights will turn off immediately.)
- Only the taillights are on: The taillights will turn off automatically if the vehicle is
turned from ON to OFF and the driver’s door is opened.
Automatic High Beams system (AHB)*
Automatically switches between high and low beams as appropriate to enhance
vision at night.

more details on the Automatic High Beams feature.

Operating the switch turns on the headlight indicator .
