Active traction control system (if equipped)
The active traction control system automatically helps prevent the spinning of 4
wheels when the vehicle is started or accelerated on slippery road surfaces.
(1) Part-time 4WD models:
Stop the vehicle, shift the shift lever to N and shift the front-wheel drive control
lever into L4.
Full-time 4WD models:
Stop the vehicle, shift the shift lever to N and then push and turn the four-wheel
drive control switch to L4L.
(2) Press the “A-TRAC” switch to activate the system.
Refer to the “Owner’s Manual” for limitations and more details on this system before
attempting to use it.
The VSC OFF switch is used to switch between modes related to the TRAC, VSC
and Auto LSD (2WD) functions.
The VSC OFF switch can be used to help free a stuck vehicle in surroundings like
mud, dirt or snow. While the vehicle is stopped, press the switch to disable the
TRAC system.
To disable VSC/TRAC/Trailer Sway Control systems, press and hold the switch for
at least 3 seconds while the vehicle is stopped.

attempting to use it.
