INTRODUCTION
This Remote Engine Starter system is designed to start the engine while you are away from
the vehicle.
The system includes a separate accessory remote control exclusively designed for remote
engine start/stop operation with long range and engine status feedback capabilities. The long
range feature supports remote engine control from the comfort of climate controlled building
interiors, while you activate the system through minimum level of physical obstruction such
as glass windows and doors. The feedback feature lets you know engine status to confirm
system operation.
Alternatively, the original vehicle key fobs can be used for remote engine control. Simply
activate the system with a sequence of door lock/unlock signals.
In this case, the operational range is limited to the range of the vehicle’s keyless entry system
and there is no engine status feedback.
Besides remote engine control, this system can activate the vehicle heating, ventilation and
air conditioner system to your preset temperature control, providing you with a comfortable
cabin upon your entry. As an added convenience, the remote engine starter can also activate
the defogger system.
To ensure your safety and the safety of anyone near the vehicle, the Remote Engine Starter
is designed to shut the engine off when it detects any attempt to enter or move the vehicle
after a remote engine start.
