For better Internet connectivity, make sure the LEDs are lit in green or white.
For the Signal Strength LEDs, green indicates signal strength of 50% -75% and white
indicates signal strength above 75%.
For the Network Type LED, green indicates that the device is on a 4G network and
white indicates that the device is on a 5G or 4G+ network (depending on the router).
Otherwise, try relocating the router to a spot that may receive a stronger mobile
network signal, such as near a window.

Connect your computers to the router's LAN ports via Ethernet cables.
Find the SSID (network name) and wireless password printed on the label at the
bottom of the router.

Usage Features

Initial Setup

  1. Hardware Connection:
    • Insert a nano SIM card (gold contacts facing right) into the designated slot until it clicks.
    • Connect the power adapter and turn on the router.
  2. Verify Hardware Connection: Check the LED indicators. The Internet LED should be on for successful internet connection. For optimal performance, Signal Strength LEDs should be green or white, and the Network Type LED should indicate 5G/4G+ (white) or 4G (green). If signal is weak, relocating the router near a window is recommended.
  3. Enjoy the Internet:
    • Wired: Connect devices to the router's LAN ports using Ethernet cables.
    • Wireless:
      • Find the SSID (network name) and wireless password on the router's bottom label.
      • Select the SSID on your computer or smart device to join the network.

Customizing the Router

  1. Access Web Management:
    • Ensure your computer is connected to the router (wired or wireless).
    • Open a web browser and navigate to http://tplinkmodem.net or http://192.168.1.1.
    • Create a new password for future logins.
  2. Quick Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial configuration.

Troubleshooting (Need Help?)

    • Reboot the router.
    • Disable and re-enable the active network adapter.
  • Cannot access the internet:
    • Verify SIM card type (5G/4G/WCDMA), sufficient credit, and service area.
    • Check LAN connection and access web management page.
    • In web management:
      • Go to Advanced > Network > Mobile WAN to verify ISP parameters. Create a new profile if needed.
      • Go to Advanced > Network > PIN Management to enter PIN if required.
      • Go to Advanced > Network > Data Settings to check/reset Total/Monthly Used or disable Data Limit.
      • Go to Advanced > Network > Mobile WAN to ensure Mobile Data is enabled.
      • If in a roaming service area, enable Data Roaming under Advanced > Network > Mobile WAN.
      • Confirm Antenna Type selection (External 5G/LTE Antennas if external antenna is connected, otherwise Internal 5G/LTE Antennas).
  • Forgot web management page password:
    • If using a TP-Link ID, click "Forgot password" on the login page.
    • Alternatively, perform a factory reset (see Maintenance Features) and create a new password.
  • Forgot wireless network password:
    • The default password is on the product label.
    • Connect via Ethernet, log into web management, and retrieve/reset the password under Basic > Wireless.

Maintenance Features

  • Factory Reset:
    • Method 1 (Button): With the router powered on, press and hold the RESET button on the rear panel until the Power LED flashes, then release.
