GF - D 6
Gas Valves
Step 9
Turn the gas valve switch to the ON position. (Figure
13)
Figure 13
Step 10
Again apply 115 VAC power to the furnace.
Step 11
Set the furnace in the CONTINGENCY MODE of
operation at the User Interface Module for the Stage 2
heat with a 50% duty cycle (Figure 14), then depower
and then repower the furnace.
Figure 14
Step 12
Let the furnace go through the Stage 2 (100% high
heat) learning routine and its temperature rise to
stabilize. This temperature rise and learning routine
will take three minutes.
Step 13
Read the Stage 2 100% (high) heat manifold gas
pressure after the furnace’s temperature rise has
stabilized. (Figure 15)
Figure 15
Step 14
If needed, remove the Stage 2 100% (high heat)
pressure adjustment cover and adjust the gas valve’s
100% (high) heat pressure adjustment screw to obtain
the correct Stage 2 100% (high heat) pressure. (Figure
16)
STAGE 2 (100% HIGH HEAT) ADJUSTMENT:
COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO DECREASE OR
CLOCKWISE TO INCREASE PRESSURE.
Figure 16
Step 8
The furnace IFC will stop the low heat 50% duty heating
cycle after ten minutes. To manually exit the Stage 1
low heat contingency cycle, remove 115 VAC power
from the furnace. Do not re-power the furnace until the
Green LED on the Inducer Motor Drive Board goes
out.
