Installation

Set the 6-position switch

Configure media converter settings using a 6-position DIP switch for optimal operation.

S1 Remote-Fault Detection

Configure the Remote Fault Detection setting via DIP switch S1 for link monitoring.

S2 & S3 work in combination

Configure Pause settings using DIP switches S2 and S3 for network performance.

S4 Transparent Link Pass-Through

Control link pass-through behavior between ports with DIP switch S4.

S5 Fiber Auto-Negotiation

Enable or disable fiber auto-negotiation for the fiber link with DIP switch S5.

S6 Loop Back

Configure loop-back testing for diagnostics with DIP switch S6.

Install Mode

Set DIP switches for initial installation mode, disabling pass-through and auto-negotiation.

Operation Mode

Set DIP switches to default UP position for normal operation after installation.

Install the fiber cable

Connect the RJ-45 copper cable between the media converter and the network device.
