Issue Probable cause Solution
The engine cannot be
started
1. The engine is running out of fuel. 1. Fill the tank.
2. The choke was not used correctly.
2. See Starting the engine” in the Operation
section.
3. The engine is drowned. 3. Wait several minutes before starting the
engine.
4. Defective spark plug. 4. Replace the spark plug.
5. Low or discharged battery. 5. Recharge or replace the battery.
6. Dirty air filter. 6. Replace/clean the air filter.
7. Dirty fuel filter. 7. Replace the fuel filter.
8. Water in fuel. 8. Empty the tank and the carburetor, fill the
tank with fresh gasoline and replace the
fuel filter.
9. Loose or damaged wiring. 9. Check the entire wiring.
10. Misaligned carburetor.

Repairs and Adjustments section.
11. Engine valves not adjusted. 11. Seek professional services of the closest
TRAPP Authorized Service Center.
12. Blown fuse. 12. Replace fuse.
13. Stationary brake does not work.

It’s difficult to start
1. Dirty air filter. 1. Clean/replace the air filter.
2. Defective spark plug. 2. Replace the spark plug.
3. Low or discharged battery. 3. Recharge or replace the battery.
4. Dirty fuel filter. 4. Replace the fuel filter.
5. Old or dirty fuel. 5. Empty the tank and fill it with new and
clean gasoline.
6. Loose or damaged wiring. 6. Check the entire wiring.
7. Misaligned carburetor.

Repairs and Adjustments section.
8. Engine valves not adjusted. 8. Seek professional services of the closest
TRAPP Authorized Service Center.
Engine does not rotate
1. The brake pedal is not depressed. 1. Press the brake pedal.
2. The accessory clutch is. 2. Disengage the accessory clutch.
3. Low or discharged battery. 3. Recharge or replace the battery.
4. Blown fuse. 4. Replace the fuse.
5. Battery terminals corroded. 5. Clean the battery terminals.
6. Loose or damaged wiring. 6. Check the entire wiring.
7. Faulty start key. 7. Check/replace the start key.
8. Defective starting system or solenoid. 8. Check/replace the defective system or
solenoid.
9. The operator’s presence key is defective. 9. Seek the professional services of the nearest
TRAPP Authorized Service.
