5 Troubleshooting
Warning!
Before any maintenance, service, repairs or adjustments are carried out, the equipment
must be lowered to the ground and the engine of the tractor must be stopped. The key
must be removed from the starter switch.
Problem Probable cause Action
Rotor and feeder screw do not
turn.
No oil flow/pressure to hydraulic
motor.
Stop in the ejector tube/rotor
housing.
Check the hydraulic system
at the tractor.
Clear from snow and ice.
Check that nothing is
blocking the rotor.
Feeder screw does not turn.
Shear bolt is broken.
Change bolt M8x55 6,8.
NOTE! Do not use a bolt that
is threaded all the way.
Low capacity
To low hydraulic flow or
hydraulic pressure.
Frozen snow and ice in
machine.
Check if tractor delivers right
hydraulic flow and pressure
compared with figures given
at order of machine.
Clean the machine from
frozen snow and ice.
Defrost machine.
There are often stoppages.
Wet snow.
Frozen snow in the frame.
Speed is too high.
Working depth too deep
Increase rpm’s.
Clean.
Decrease the speed.
Decrease depth
There is snow left on the
surface.
Supporting pads are set too
high.
The equipment is leaning
backwards.
The wearing edge is worn.
Adjust the height.
Adjust the angle.
Turn it over or replace it.
