Gas Leak Procedure

Do not operate during refuelling. Switch off appliance and gas supply.

Operation While Driving Safety

A safety shut-off device is required for driving to prevent uncontrolled gas escape.

Frost Risk Management

Drain the boiler if there is a risk of frost to prevent damage and voiding warranty.

Water Pressure Limits

Use a pressure reducer for central supply or powerful pumps to limit pressure to 2.8 bar.

Journey Preparation

Fit the cowl cover securely before travelling and ensure it is locked.

Operating Instructions - Start-up

Preparation

Rinse water supply with warm, clear water before first use. Affix warning sticker.

Filling the Boiler with Water

Ensure drain valve is closed. Open hot tap, switch on pump, and let water displace air.

Starting up – Gas Mode

Ensure boiler is not empty. Remove cowl cover. Open gas cylinder/valve. Turn on via control panel.

Start-up – Electrical Mode

For BGE 10 model only. Never operate empty. Switch on via control panel at 850 W or 1300 W.

Operating Instructions - Controls and Maintenance

Red LED 'Fault' Indicator

Red LED indicates a fault. Clear by switching off, waiting 5 mins, then switching on.

Switching Off

Switch off at control panel. Fit cowl cover. Drain if frost risk. Close gas supply if unused.

Draining the Boiler

Drain boiler during frosty periods. Turn on hot taps, open drain valve (lever vertical).

Fuses

12 V fuse on electronic control unit. Replace with same type: 1.6 A (slow-acting).

Troubleshooting Guide

Gas Mode Faults

Covers boiler not operating, red LED on, or 'Fault' status. Check power, gas, pressure, air.

Electrical Mode Faults (BGE 10)

Covers boiler not operating or overtemperature sensor in electric mode. Check power and water.

Water Supply Issues

Addresses dripping drain valve or warm water into cold supply. Check pressure, fit non-return valve.

Warranty Scope

Covers material/manufacturing defects for 24 months for Consumers in EU states, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey.

Warranty Exclusions

Excludes improper use, installation, non-authorised repairs, wear, non-original parts, chemical damage, modifications.

Making a Warranty Claim

Claim with an authorised service partner or Truma Service Centre. Provide defect details, serial number, and purchase date.
