2.4.2 Connecting the exhaust double duct to the
appliance
NOTICE
Exhaust duct can become loose if bent too
much

After installation on the cowl inner part, do
not bend the exhaust duct more than 20°.

Slide the hose clamp (Fig. 15-6) onto the extraction
duct (Fig. 15-7).

Connect the gas-tight adapter (Fig. 15-3) of the
exhaust duct (Fig. 15-5) to the heater. To do this,
slide the adapter of the exhaust duct into the heater
connection as far as it goes (Fig. 15-1). If necessary,
replace a damaged O-ring (Fig. 15-4).

Hook the exhaust duct fitting (Fig. 16-2) into the
connection.

Check that the exhaust duct sits firmly.

Slide the air supply duct (Fig. 17-3) onto the con-
nection (Fig. 17-1) and fasten with the hose clamp
(Fig. 17-2).

Each time you dismantle the appliance, install a new
O-ring 40 x 2.5mm, VMQ (part no.: 34010-05700)
(Fig. 15-4) on the adapter (Fig. 15-3) of the exhaust
gas sound muffler (Fig. 15-5).
2.5 Circulated air intake
The circulated air is drawn in by the heater. This must
have one large or several small openings with a total
area of at least 150 cm² between the living compart-
ment (not the rear storage space) and the installation
compartment.
If a grille (not supplied) is installed (Fig. 18-1), the same
requirements must be complied with for drawing in air
in terms of the cross-sectional area through which flow
occurs (150cm²).

The openings for the circulated air intake must be ar-
ranged so that it is not possible for exhaust gases from
the vehicle engine or the heater to be drawn in under
any operating conditions.
2.6 Warm air distribution

WARNING
Risk of fire or malfunction due to incorrect
installation or use of parts that are not orig-
inal Truma parts

Use only original Truma parts for the warm
air distributor.

Do not operate the appliance without warm
air ducts. Operation without the warm air
duct is not permitted.
Most of the warm air is fed into the floor area of the liv-
ing area via flexible ducts.
If the warm air duct needs to be bent directly behind
the warm air outlet of the heater in confined spaces, the
BGC 90° elbow (part no. 34092-01) is required. These
elbows enable a warm air duct ÜR, Ø 65 or duct VR 72,
Ø 72 mm to be connected.
