Filling the boiler (water tank)
Check whether the rotary switch (setting 1) points to “opera-
tion” and is clicked into place.
Close the drain valve by pressing the push-button (setting 2).
The push-button must click into the “closed” position.
Only when the temperature around the drain valve is
over around 7 °C can it to be closed manually with the
press button (setting 2) and the boiler filled. At temperatures
below 7 °C it is advisable to switch on the vehicle heating
system to heat up the inside of the vehicle.
Operating instructions
The FrostControl heating element (accessory for Combi
heating systems) cannot be used for boilers and the
Trumatic C because they lack the required connection.
Automatic opening of the drain valve
If the temperature around the drain valve is below about 3 °C,
it will open automatically and the push button will disengage
(outward movement) (setting 3). The water from the boiler will
be released through the drainage muff (4).
The opening of the drain valve or the free drainage of
the water can be impeded by various environmental
influences, therefore Truma cannot assume any liability for
frost damage.
Manual opening of the drain valve
Turn the rotary switch by 180° until it engages, whereby the
push button moves out (setting 3). The water in the boiler
drains out through the drainage muff (4).
Closing the drain valve
Check if the rotary switch is set to “Operation” (setting 1),
meaning that it is parallel to the water connection and engaged.
Close the drain valve by activating the push button. The push
button must engage in position (2) “closed”.
Only when the temperature around the drain valve is over
around 7 °C can it to be closed manually with the press button
(setting 2) and the boiler filled.
