What to do if Truper DES-63 motor is not reaching full speed and starts having smoke emissions?
    • J
      Jesus SmithAug 4, 2025
If your motor isn't reaching full speed and is emitting smoke, it could be related to the fuel or spark arrest screen. Ensure you are using new fuel and the correct oil mix for a 2-stroke motor. If this doesn't solve the issue, the spark arrest screen may be dirty, and you will need to contact a service center.

There are several reasons why the motor might not be starting. It could be due to a lack of spark. To check this, remove the motor cover, take out the spark plug, connect the spark plug cable, and set the spark plug onto the motor cylinder, ensuring the metal part touches the cylinder. Pull the jack-line and watch for a spark in the spark plug electrode. If there's no spark, try again with a new spark plug. Another reason could be a lack of fuel. Press the starter choke until you see fuel in the bulb. If fuel isn't visible, the primary system in the fuel supply may be blocked, and you will need to contact a service center. Lastly, the motor might be flooded. If so, turn the switch off, remove the spark plug, move the choke lever downwards, and pull the jack-line 15 to 20 times to get rid o...
