Why is my Tweco Welding System MIG gun running hot?

  If your Tweco Welding System's MIG gun is running hot, it could be due to several reasons. First, check for loose contact tips or diffusers and tighten them securely. Inspect the entire gun for any loose power connections and repair them as needed. Also, examine the ground cable or clamp for looseness or undersizing, and tighten or replace them if necessary. Finally, ensure that you are not operating the gun above its recommended amperage rating; readjust the machine to the correct setting for the gun size you are using.

  Inconsistent or non-smooth wire feed in your Tweco Welding System can stem from several causes. Start by tightening any loose contact tips or diffusers. If the contact tip is excessively worn, replace it. Clean or replace the contact tip if there's spatter buildup. Straighten or replace the conduit if there are sharp bends or kinks. For a dirty or plugged conduit, replacement is necessary. Ensure the conduit is correctly positioned against the diffuser and the front set screw is tight. If the issue persists, reset the machine according to the recommendations from the machine and wire manufacturers.
