7.2.5 ADVANCED CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
The advanced configuration options are set using the PC configuration tool which connects to the
detector using an RS485 link via an interface unit. The following options can be set using the tool:
• Primary options: Options available on DIP switches can alternatively be set by
configuration tool (need to set a DIP switch to select this option).
• OPM timing: Set time interval for regular OPM test.
• Video output mode: Select what information is overlaid on camera image
• Video information: Enter and edit detector location and identity information that
can be overlaid on camera image
• Select logging options: Select which events and information are logged by the
detector
• Field network parameters: Enter and edit network settings such as baud rate,
addresses, etc.
• Alarm Mask: Define masked area in field of view and masking options
The configuration tool can also be used to view internal parameters and for diagnostics by
extracting and processing log data stored in the detector. Further details on the settings and how to
use the tool for diagnostics are covered in the manual for the configuration tool.
