Always use the same grade
and specied oil as Re-
placements.
Dispose off the old oil as
per local regulations.

► CHANGING OIL IN THE FRONT
AXLE
1. Drain the oil from the center diff plug and
the drain plug in each drive.
2. Replace and tighten all drain plugs.
3. Remove the top plug(Vent plug)from each
nal drive to vent air from nal drives.
4. Remove the dip stick from the lter hole
and ll with 2.64 US gal (10 liters) and al-
low time for the oil to drain into the nal
drives.
5. Check the oil level with the dipstick and
replace the vent plugs on both nal drives

and tighten
Some operators have found
that when they ll with the
correct amount of oil and
dip it, the oil level on the
dipstick is too high due to
the fact that it takes a while
for the oil to run into the -
nal drives.
Opening the Vent plugs
helps to speed this up.
