D. At the end of each shift, the operator should clean and wash underneath the
pick-up head and remove any mud build-up. Particular care should be given to
the area around the broom. Thoroughly clean the area between the broom and
back of the blast orifice daily! A build-up of debris and mud in this area can
greatly diminish the effectiveness of the broom assist pick-up head.
