Appendix C-6 MGL EFIS Note
When using the echoUAT system in the transponder monitor mode, the
echoUAT will provide the MGL EFIS unit with traffic data via pin 5 of the
Molex connector. If using a Garmin for position source you will need to
configure the echoUAT for traffic on COM1. See Appendix C-10.
We recommend configuration of the echoUAT be accomplished using the
echo mobile application.
Some MGL EFIS system configurations can provide GPS data as well as
transponder squawk and barometric pressure to the echoUAT when
controlling a Trig ES transponder. The MGL EFIS will also accept ADS-B
“IN” data from the echoUAT for display of traffic and weather data. Wire
connections for traffic to the EFIS per MGL guidance.
