Summary

Quick Setup Guide

Step 1 Login to the web management

Opens the web browser and types the default IP address of the PowerStation2/LiteStation2/LiteStation5 device for login.

Step 2 Configure network settings

Configures IP settings required for device management purposes, either from DHCP or manually.

Step 3 Assign the SSID to subscriber station

Specifies the SSID of the wireless device (Access Point) to which the subscriber station will associate.

Step 4 Specify the IEEE 802.11 mode

Specifies the 802.11 wireless network mode for subscriber station communication with the wireless device.

Step 5 Specify the security mode

Chooses the security method (WEP, WPA, WPA2, None) to protect data and control network access.

Step 6 Change administrator password

Changes the default administrator's password for security reasons using the System menu.

Step 7 Apply changes

Applies configuration changes and reboots the device to implement settings.

Basic Wireless Settings

Configures general wireless settings like SSID, country code, output power, and data rates.

Wireless Mode

Specifies the operating mode of the device (Station, Station WDS, Access Point, AP WDS).

SSID/ESSID

Specifies the SSID for Access Point mode or ESSID for Station mode association.

IEEE 802.11 Mode

Selects the IEEE 802.11 mode for your wireless network.

Wireless Security

Security

Selects the security mode for your wireless network (None, WEP, WPA, WPA2).

WEP Key

Enters the WEP key for wireless traffic encryption/decryption.

WPA Pre-shared Key

Enters a passphrase for WPA/WPA2 encryption.

Network Settings

Network Mode

Specifies the operating network mode: Bridge or Router.

Bridge IP Address

Specifies IP mode: DHCP for dynamic, Static for fixed IP address.

IP Address

Enters the IP address of the device.

Netmask

Enters the subnet mask of the device.

Gateway IP

Enters the Gateway IP address.

Primary DNS IP

Enters the DNS IP address.

WLAN Network Settings

Configures WLAN interface IP address, Netmask, NAT, and DHCP Server.

LAN Network Settings

Configures LAN (Ethernet) connection settings.

System

Administrative Account

Modifies the administrator password to protect device configuration.

Device Maintenance

Reboots the device or resets all system parameters to factory default values.
