1. Ensure that the heater and power cable are both in good condition.
2. Place the heater on a firm, level surface free from obstructions and at least 3' (0.9 m)
from any wall or other object such as furniture, chairs, plants, or combustible material.
3. With the heater turned off, plug into a standard, grounded 120 VAC 60 Hz outlet.
4. Important: your heater is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). This plug will only fit into an outlet one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still won't fit, contact a qualified electrician to have a
polarized outlet installed Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. To do so could
result in an electric shock hazard.
This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts the unit off when parts of
the heater overheat. If this occurs, turn the heater off, unplug it, and inspect and remove
any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. Wait 10 to 20
minutes for the unit to cool down then plug it back in and resume normal operation.
To turn the heater on, turn the power and setting control dial to the desired power setting:
1. LO( ): Fan and heating elements operate at 900 W.
2. HI( ): Fan and heating elements operate at 1500 W.
3. LO( ) and OSC: Heating elements operate at 900 W and fan oscillates for even heat
distribution.
4. Hl( ) and OSC: Heating elements operate at 1500 W and fan oscillates for even heat
distribution.
5. OFF( ): Choose this setting to turn the fan off.
To adjust the temperature, turn the thermostat control dial to the desired setting between
MIN and MAX.

SAFETY FEATURES
Overheat protection
Your heater is equipped with a tip-over switch which is designed to automatically shut off
unit when tipped forward or backwards. When returned to normal upright position, the
heater will automatically come on again. This is a feature to avoid possibility of fire
should the unit be accidentally tipped over.
Tip-over switch
This heater is equipped with a power indicator light. The power light will illuminate when
the heater is turned on. This feature is to prevent you from being unaware the heater is in
operation.
