What to do if the USB device is not operating correctly with VADDIO Extender?
    • E
      eochoaAug 14, 2025
If all LEDs are lit on both the Local and Remote VADDIO Extenders, but your USB device isn't working or is seen as an 'Unknown Device', try these steps: 1. Disconnect the extender from the computer. 2. Connect the USB device directly to the host computer; if it still fails, refer to the device's documentation. 3. Update your computer's BIOS, chipset, or USB controller drivers from the manufacturer's website. 4. If direct connection works, reconnect the device via the extender. If it fails, the extender might be faulty. Contact Technical Support. If a second device works fine through the extender, the first device might be incompatible.

If a USB 3 device isn't running as USB 3 via the VADDIO Extender, or you see a 'Perform Faster' notification, try these steps: 1. Disconnect the extender from the computer. 2. Connect the USB 3 device directly to the computer. If it doesn't work as USB 3, check its manual or try a different USB port. 3. Update the computer's BIOS, chipset, or USB controller drivers from the manufacturer's website. 4. If it works directly, reconnect via the extender. If it fails, the extender may be faulty. Contact Technical Support. If a second USB 3 device works fine, the first might be incompatible.

How to fix blinking USB LEDs on VADDIO USB 3 Extender?
    • J
      Jason WatsonAug 21, 2025
If the USB 2 or USB 3 LEDs are blinking on the VADDIO Extender, it means that the Local and/or Remote Extender is in suspend mode. This can occur if no USB devices are attached, a USB device is asleep, or the host computer is in sleep or hibernation. To resolve this: * Resume the operating system from sleep or hibernation (refer to your operating system’s documentation). * Connect a USB device to the Remote Extender. * Use the connected device. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support.

Why are link LEDs off on VADDIO Extender?
    • M
      Megan GravesAug 25, 2025
If the Link LEDs are OFF on both the Local and Remote VADDIO Extenders, it indicates there's no connection between them. To fix this, ensure that no more than 100m of Cat-6/Cat-7 cabling is connected between the units. Try connecting a short patch cable to check the link status. If the LINK LED then turns ON, the original cable is either defective or doesn't support the link.
