Using your machine
Before you begin cleaning
• Always switch o and unplug the vacuum cleaner before connecting or disconnecting the hose/attachments, or removing
and emptying the dirt container.
• The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a thermal cut-out. If for any reason the vacuum cleaner does overheat the thermostat
will automatically turn the vacuum cleaner o. If this happens, switch the vacuum cleaner o and unplug from electrical
socket. Remove and empty the dirt container also check the vacuum cleaner for blockages. Allow the vacuum cleaner to
cool for approximately 1 hour (if you have cleaned the lters please wait 24 hours for the lters to fully dry before putting
back into the vacuum).
• Pre motor lters require cleaning at least every 3 months.
• If the vacuum cleaner is blocked, switch o and unplug before removing the blockage.
• When using the accessories always make sure the machine is stood in the upright position.
Taking care of your machine

Remove hose end
from the oorhead.
Remove telescopic
extension tube.
Choose an accessory. Attach accessory
to hose end.

Using accessories
NOTE: The TurboTool, 3-in-1 crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery tool can all be attached to the telescopic tube
or directly to the hose.
Use the tool connector when attaching the exi crevice or at upholstery tool (some models only).
Emptying and cleaning the dirt container
How to use the air vent
Cleaning the HEPA pre-motor lter
Press the dirt container release button and pull
to remove the dirt container.
Slide vent cover open to decrease suction,
if required on high piled carpets.
Turn the dirt container lid
anti-clockwise…
Tap the lter over a bin
to release any dirt.
Hold dirt container over a bin and press the dirt
container release button allowing dirt to fall out.
Close the vent cover to increase suction,
for maximum cleaning on hard oors.
…and lift to remove.
Wash the lter under
running water (40°C max).
Grasp tab on lter
and pull to remove.
Leave to fully dry for at
least 24 hours before
putting back into the
vacuum cleaner.
