organisations.If,allprecautionary
measuresnotwithstanding,problems
shouldoccur,pleasemakeappealtoour
warranty(seeguaranteeconditions).
GeneralWarrantyConditionsConcerning
ConsumerProducts(forEU):
•Allconsumerproductsaresubjecttoa
24‐monthwarrantyonproductionflaws
anddefective
materialasfromtheoriginal
dateofpurchase.
•Velleman®candecidetoreplacean
articlewithanequivalentarticle,orto
refundtheretailvaluetotallyorpa rtially
whenthecomplaintisvalidandafree
repairorreplacementofthearticleis
impossible,oriftheexpensesareout
of
proportion.
Youwillbedeliveredareplacingarticleor
arefundatthevalueof100%ofthe
purchasepriceincaseofaflawoccurred
inthefirstyearafterthedateofpurchase
anddelivery,orareplacingarticleat50%
ofthepurchasepriceora
refundatthe
valueof50%oftheretailvalueincaseofa
flawoccurredinthesecondyearafterthe
dateofpurchaseanddelivery.
•Notcoveredbywarranty:
‐alldirectorindirectdamagecausedafter
deliverytothearticle(e.g.byoxidation ,
shocks,falls,dust,dirt,
humidity...),andby
thearticle,aswellasitscontents(e.g.
dataloss),compensationforlossof
profits;
‐frequentlyreplacedconsumablegoods,
partsoraccessoriessuchasbatteries,
lamps,rubberparts,drivebelts...
(unlimitedlist);
‐flawsresultingfromfire,waterdamage,
lightning,accident,naturaldisaster,etc.
…;
‐flawscaused
deliberately,negligentlyor
resultingfromimproperhandling,
negligentmaintenance,abusiveuseoruse
contrarytothemanufacturer’s
instructions;
‐damagecausedbyacommercial,
professionalorcollectiveuseofthearticle
(thewarrantyvaliditywillbereducedto
six(6)monthswhenthearticleisused
professionally);
‐damageresultingfroman
inappropriate
packingandshippingofthearticle;
‐alldamagecausedbymodification,
repairoralterationperformedbyathird
partywithoutwrittenpermissionby
Velleman®.
•Articlestoberepairedmustbedelivered
toyourVelleman®dealer,solidlypacked
(preferablyintheoriginalpackaging),and
becompletedwiththeoriginal
receiptof
purchaseandaclearflawdescription.
•Hint:Inordertosaveoncostandtime,
pleaserereadthemanualandcheckifthe
flawiscausedbyobviouscausespriorto
presentingthearticleforrepair.Notethat
returninganon‐defectivearticlecanalso
involvehandling
costs.
•Repairsoccurringafterwarranty
expirationaresubjecttoshippingcosts.
•Theaboveconditionsarewithout
prejudicetoallcommercialwarranties.
