What to do if the platform won’t lower on Vestil EHLT Lifting Systems?
    • J
      Justin HicksAug 16, 2025
If the platform of your Vestil Lifting System won't lower, consider the following potential causes: * The perimeter toe guard might be actuated. Check for any toe guard extrusion or rubber corner that is stuck and adjust if necessary. * The perimeter toe guard switch or wire might be broken. Inspect it visually and check with a multimeter, then repair as needed. * The solenoid coil might be bad. Check it with a multimeter using the diode-check function and replace it if faulty. * There might be a physical blockage of the mechanism. Inspect for any foreign material or objects blocking the scissors or the rollers. * The solenoid valve, flow control, or suction hose screen might be plugged. Remove and inspect the valves, then clean them according to the instructions.

Why motor runs but platform doesn’t move in Vestil EHLT?
    • A
      Amanda AdamsAug 19, 2025
If the motor runs but the platform doesn’t move and the power unit isn't noisy on your Vestil Lifting System, it could be due to: * Incorrect motor rotation (AC-powered units only). Verify that the motor runs clockwise, opposite the shaft end. * The pump failing to produce pressure. It is advised to consult the factory in this case.

Why platform lowers too slowly in Vestil Lifting Systems?
    • D
      dayjesseAug 25, 2025
If your Vestil Lifting System's platform lowers too slowly, here are some possible reasons: * The solenoid valve, flow control, or suction hose screen might be plugged. Remove and inspect the valves, then clean them according to the instructions. * The velocity fuse might be locking, indicated by the platform only slowly creeping down. Check for air in the hydraulic system and bleed air as needed. * The flow control valve spool might be sticking. Remove and inspect the valves, then clean them according to the instructions.

Why platform lowers too quickly in Vestil Lifting Systems?
    • S
      Shawn DoyleAug 30, 2025
If the platform lowers too quickly on your Vestil Lifting Systems, it may be because the flow control valve spool is sticking. Remove and inspect the valves, then clean them according to the instructions.

Why platform raises, then drifts down in Vestil Lifting Systems?
    • S
      Stephen WilliamsSep 4, 2025
If the platform raises and then drifts down on your Vestil Lifting System, it might be due to contamination holding open the lowering valve or the check valve. Remove and inspect the valves and clean them per instructions.

How to fix spongy platform movement in Vestil Lifting Systems?
    • L
      Lori ThorntonSep 7, 2025
If you experience spongy or jerky platform movement with your Vestil Lifting System, it's possible that there is excessive air in the hydraulic cylinders. Bleed the air following the procedure described.

What to do if the power unit doesn’t run when “UP” button is pressed in Vestil Lifting Systems?
    • B
      browntammyNov 11, 2025
If the power unit on your Vestil Lifting System doesn't run when you press the 'UP' button, there are several potential causes: * The transformer fuse might be blown. Test it with a meter and replace it if necessary. * There might be no supply voltage. Test with a meter and check fuses, breakers, and overloads to identify and resolve the cause. * The upper-travel limit switch could be engaged or faulty. Inspect and test the switch; replace it if it's bad. * The control transformer might be bad. Check for 24 VAC at the secondary and replace if necessary. * The motor relay coil could be faulty. Test it with a meter and replace it if needed. * If it's a DC unit, the solenoid start switch might be bad. The green LED on the motor relay will be off, or it will turn off when the UP p...

What causes motor hums but platform does not move in Vestil EHLT?
    • P
      parkerdonnaNov 26, 2025
If the motor hums or the pump squeals but the platform doesn't move (or moves slowly) on your Vestil Lifting System, consider these potential causes: * The pump might be failing to produce pressure. In this case, consult the factory. * There could be excessive voltage drop to the motor due to an inadequate power wire size, a wire run that is too long, or incoming voltage that is too low. Check the power installation for adequacy and verify the incoming voltage while the motor is running, then correct any problems found. * The motor might be 'single-phasing.' Determine and correct the cause of voltage loss on the phase. * The pressure relief might be opening at full pressure. Check for structural damage or binding of the scissor legs, etc., and also check for a platform overload co...
