ASSEMBLY
Warning! Remove the battery pack before cleaning or maintaining the
tool, fitting the plant guard before making any adjustments to the tool, especially
around the string head. Remove the battery pack before transporting or storing the
tool.
Replacing the spool
WARNING: Remove the battery pack before attempting to replace the string spool.

-This trimmer uses 0.065 in. (1.6mm) diameter round nylon line. During use, the
tips of the lines will become frayed and worn. Restarting the machine will feed and
trim a fresh length of the line.
-When no line is fed, remove the battery pack and turn the machine upside-down
so that you are looking down at the spool cap.
-Press the tabs and remove the spool cap from the spool housing in the trimmer
head.
-Grasp the empty spool retainer with one hand and pull it out.
-Unfasten the line end of the new string spool and guide the line into the eyelet,
then push the spool onto the head and rotate the spool slightly until it's fully
inserted.
-Align the tabs on the spool cap with the slots in the housing.
-Push the cap onto the housing until it snaps securely into place.
