What to do if my VIAIR 400P will not run?
    • D
      Dwayne OrtizAug 3, 2025
If your VIAIR Air Compressor isn't running, there could be a few reasons. First, ensure the compressor switch is in the ON position. If that's not the issue, check the fuse and replace it if it's blown, making sure to disconnect the compressor from the power source first and using the correct amperage fuse (refer to the Specifications section for correct fuse amperage). Lastly, the motor might have overheated; if so, let the compressor cool off for about 30 minutes to allow the thermal overload switch to reset.

Why does the thermal overload protector on my VIAIR Air Compressor keep cutting out?
    • L
      Linda WilliamsAug 10, 2025
If the thermal overload protector on your VIAIR Air Compressor is repeatedly cutting out, it could be due to a lack of proper ventilation or a high ambient temperature. Try moving the compressor to a well-ventilated area or an area with a lower ambient temperature. Alternatively, the compressor valves may have failed, requiring you to replace the compressor.
