OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
Starting Techniques
Method 2. Ground Start
This method is recommended where possible, for cold starts and for heavy or hard to start
chainsaws.
1. Place chainsaw on a flat, even, hard surface
- guide bar pointing to the left
2. Remove bar cover
3. Apply chain brake
4. Ensure iginition switch is set to ON
5. Kneel on the left knee
- place the right foot through the rear handle
as much as possible
- Left hand on the front handle with left arm
straight and locked
