Removing the Mowing Deck

The mowing deck cannot be removed with the mulch insert installed. Always remove the mulch insert first.

Removing the Mowing Blade

Refer to the instruction manual for mowing blade maintenance procedures.

Installing the Mulching Blade

Check the mulching blade for damage and wear. Replace worn or damaged blades. Secure with Loctite 243 and tighten to 65-70 Nm.

Installing the Mowing Deck

Refer to the instruction manual for installation of the mowing deck.

Folding the Mulch Insert Upwards

The mulching key must be folded forwards before installing the mulch insert until it latches.

Installing the Mulch Insert

Install with mowing deck and discharge chute. Wear gloves. Clean deck. Set deck to lowest cutting level for ease.

Removing Components

Fastening the Mulch Insert

Secure the mulch insert using the screw (E) and ring nut (F) in the specified rear panel bores.

Attaching the Grass Catcher Box

The grass catcher box must be fitted due to safety devices; machine will not start or will cut out if not fitted.

Removing the Mulch Insert

Detach grass catcher box, unhook the ring nut, and carefully pull the mulch insert out of the discharge chute.

Removing the Mowing Deck

The mowing deck cannot be removed with the mulch insert installed. Always remove the mulch insert first.

Removing the Mulching Blade

Removal of the mulching blade is identical to the removal of the mowing blade.

Refer to the instruction manual for mowing blade maintenance procedures.

Mulching Instructions

General Information on Mulching

Grass clippings are shredded and blown back into the lawn to decompose, returning nutrients.

When is Mulching Permissible?

Mulching is recommended only for dry, short grass. Avoid wet or damp conditions to prevent clogging.

Mulching Frequency

For a perfect lawn, mulch regularly. Spring: twice weekly. Summer/Autumn: once weekly.

How to Mulch Correctly

Observe points: Use sharp blades, select correct cutting height, manage tall grass, select correct driving speed.

Correct Engine Speed for Mulching

Always select the maximum engine speed when mulching.
