Usage Features
Assembly:
- Mounting the lower bar: Fold the lower bar (3) upwards and fasten it using the tightening levers (5) by turning them clockwise and then pressing them in to lock.
- Mounting the upper bar: Fasten the upper bar (1) to the lower bar (3) using screws (2b), washers (2a), and upper tightening levers (2). Ensure the release button (16) is on the right in the mowing direction. Two positions are possible. Fasten by turning levers clockwise and locking them.
- Mounting the grass collection box: Clip the handle (13c) into the box (13), then place the plastic tabs (13a) over the rods (13b).
- Attaching the mulch kit: Remove the grass collection box if used, lift the impact protection (4), and slide the mulch kit (18) into place until the bracket (18a) snaps. To remove, push the bracket (18a) and pull out the kit (18).
Operation:
- Cutting height adjustment: The apparatus has 5 positions. Hold the carrying handle (A 6), lift or push the device, then grip the lever (7) and move it to the desired height. Recommended cutting height is 25-45 mm for ornamental lawns and 45-65 mm for utility lawns. A high cutting height is recommended for the first mowing of the season.
- Inserting/removing the rechargeable battery: To remove, press the release button (9a) on the battery (9) and pull it out. To insert, push the battery along the guide rail until it clicks into place. Only Villager 18V batteries should be used.
- Switching on and off: Place the apparatus on a level surface. Lift the cover (A 8), insert charged batteries (9), and then insert the ignition key (10) into its opening. Ensure no objects are touching the apparatus. To switch on, press and hold the release button (16) while pressing the starting lever (17), then let go of the release button. To switch off, release the starting lever (17).
- Mowing: Move the device at walking speed in straight, overlapping lines. Adjust cutting height to avoid overloading the motor. Mow across slopes crosswise, taking care when changing direction. Clean the device after each use.
