  Several factors can affect the venting performance of your Vissani Ventilation Hood. Ensure that no birds or animals have nested in the duct. Verify that the distance between the cooktop and the bottom of the hood is between 457 mm (18 in) and 710 mm (28 in). Confirm that the duct work follows all requirements, using round metal duct work with a uniform diameter of 152 mm (6 in), and that the length does not exceed 35 ft (10.7 m). Reduce the length and number of elbows if necessary, and ensure all joints are properly connected, sealed, and taped. Also, check that the duct does not open against the wind. For heavy cooking, ensure the power is on high speed and close nearby windows to eliminate air gusts. Opening a window on the opposite side of the house can also enhance performance.

If none of these solutions work, the motor may be defective or seized and require replacement.
