5. OPERATION
Afterithasbeeninstalled,theIceMakerwillrunanemptycycleandthenproduceice
duringallsubsequentcycles.Therstcubeswillbedispensedafterapproximately
1hour.
5.1. STARTING “REFILL” MODEL
Openthedoor,removetheicetrayandpourdrinkingwaterintothetankthrough
theller(K)(min.1litre/max.8litres)(seeFig.1),checkingthewaterlevel
throughtherelevantwindow(H).Thisoperationshouldbecarriedoutslowlyin
ordertoavoidanywateroverow.Plugthemachineintothepowersocketand
switchonthemainswitch(A).
CAUTION:Thetankshouldbelledwithdrinkingwateronly.
5.2. STARTING “HYDRO” MODEL
Connectthewatermainstothethreadedller(4)onthesolenoidvalve(E)using
thespecialhose(3)supplied(seeFig.4).
Themachineisequippedtooperateatawaterpressureofbetween1and3bar.
Make sure that the water mains supply drinking water and that the pressure
ofthewaterissufcienttoproducebetween120–135goficepercycle(the
optimumpressureis2bar).
Werecommendttingashut-offvalveonthewaterline.Itispossibletomake
slightchangestothesizeofthecrescent-shapedicecubestoarriveatacorrect
icemakingcycle.Todothis,readthesectionentitled“ACCURATEADJUSTMENT
WATERSET-UP”.
6. ACCURATEADJUSTMENTWATERSET-UP
Useascrewdriveronthe waterleveladjustmentscrew(seeFig.1)to movethe
contactdirectlyonthegridassembly.
−Turnthescrewclockwise toreducetheamountofwater
−Turnthescrewanticlockwise toincreasetheamountofwater
Afullturn(360°)willllwith40cm³water(~2.4sec.)
Ahalfturn(180°)willllwith20cm³water(~1.2sec.)
7. HOW TO USE THE ICE MAKER
Theicemakeroperatesintwomodes:
• Ice-makingmode,whereitmakescrescent-shapedicecubes.
• Maintenancemode,wheretheicemakerdoesnotmakeanymoreice,butsimply
storeswhatitalreadyhas.
7.1.ICE-MAKINGMODE
While making ice, the machine thermostat (M) (see g. 1 or g. 4) needs to
be turned to the“ice production” mode (see g. 1a) to make properly formed
crescent-shapedicecubes.
