Questions and Answers

  • E
    Evelyn ThomasSep 3, 2025
Why does my Vizio VX240M show noise on the screen?
    • M
      Mr. Randall HawkinsSep 4, 2025
If you see “noise” or “trash” on the screen of your Vizio HDTV, it may be due to your HDTV’s digital capabilities exceeding a digital broadcast signal, causing the signal to be up-converted (increased) to match your TV’s display capabilities. Up-converting can cause noise or trash. If you are using an antenna, the signal strength of the channel may be low; make sure your antenna is connected securely to the TV and move the antenna around the room or close to a window.

    David Miller DVMSep 18, 2025
Why does my Vizio HDTV have dead pixels?
    • W
      William GraySep 18, 2025
Your Vizio HDTV is manufactured using an extremely high level of precision technology, however, sometimes some pixels of your HDTV may not display. Pixel defects within industry specifications are inherent to this type of product and do not constitute a defective product.

    Jose SullivanSep 16, 2025
Why does volume change when switching inputs on Vizio VX240M?
    • A
      Amy GonzalezSep 16, 2025
The TV remembers the volume level from the last time you adjusted it. If the sound level is higher or lower from another source, then the volume will change on your Vizio HDTV.

What to do if Vizio HDTV control buttons do not work?
    • R
      Ryan Fox MDSep 14, 2025

How to improve image quality on Vizio VX240M HDTV?
    • D
      Debbie JohnstonSep 13, 2025
If you are experiencing image quality issues on your Vizio HDTV, and are using an antenna, the signal strength of the channel may be low. Make sure your antenna is connected securely to the TV and move the antenna around the room or close to a window. For best image quality, view HD wide-screen programs where possible. If HD content is not available view “Standard Definition” from a digital source. Standard, analog TV will always be noticeably inferior to HD because your digital flat panel TV has video that is many times better than old TV so you will see interference and deficiencies you did not know you had.

    Isaac NorrisSep 12, 2025
What to do if Vizio HDTV has no power?
    • S
      Sheila WashingtonSep 12, 2025
If your Vizio HDTV has no power, first make sure the power button is ON (the VIZIO logo glows white). Ensure the AC power cord is securely connected to the AC socket. Test the power outlet by plugging in another electrical device to verify that it is working.
  • Q
    qreeseSep 9, 2025
Why does my Vizio VX240M HDTV show abnormal picture patterns?
    • T
      Tanner CantuSep 9, 2025
If the picture on your Vizio HDTV has abnormal patterns, check the connections of external devices that may be connected to the HDTV. Make sure the specifications of external devices meet the specifications of your HDTV (i.e. resolution). If you are using an antenna, the signal strength of the channel may be low; make sure your antenna is connected securely to the TV and move the antenna around the room or close to a window.

    Anita AtkinsonSep 7, 2025
How to adjust Vizio HDTV screen size to fit display?
    • T
      Tasha GilbertSep 7, 2025
If the display image does not cover the entire screen on your Vizio HDTV, and you are in RGB mode (Computer), make sure that H-Size and V-Position in the On Screen Display (OSD) are set correctly. If you are using TV, AV or Component with 480i input, press WIDE button on the remote control to scroll through various screen modes.
  • C
    Christopher MarshSep 5, 2025
Why is the picture distorted on my Vizio VX240M HDTV?
    • T
      Taylor PorterSep 5, 2025
If you see a distorted picture or hear unusual sound on your Vizio HDTV, you may be getting interference from electrical appliances, cars, motorcycles, or fluorescent lights. If you have not mounted it on the wall, try moving your HDTV to another location to see if this is the cause of the problem.

How to fix Vizio VX240M remote control not working?
    • L
      loganarmstrongAug 21, 2025
If your Vizio HDTV remote isn't working, ensure it's pointed directly at the TV's remote sensor and that there are no obstructions. Try replacing the batteries with new ones. You can also press the TV button on the top of the remote to return to the TV mode.
