GENERAL INSTRUCTION
GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
Driving a vehicle is a big responsibility, since any minor lack of attention or lack
of maintenance may lead to serious damages that range from a simple incident
to more serious accidents, putting at risk the lives of the driver, passengers and
pedestrians.
For this reason, we recommend that you rigorously follow the traffic legislation
as well as the instructions below:
• Always wear seat belt and require that your passengers do the same;
• Keep all safety and warning equipment in the vehicle at all times;
• Carry out the maintenance of your vehicle with the engine switched OFF;
• Replaceing the tyres, follow all the recommendations stated in the Owner’r
Manual, to ensure a complete immobility of the vehicle. Any movement will cause
the jack falling leading to unforeseen circumstances;
• Always take the necessary precuations when parking your vehicle to immobilize
it: gear in the 1st step, activated parking brake and, when necessary, secured
with the brake shoe.
• Keep all lights/lamps in perfect working condition and correctly adjusted;
• When loading your vehicle, be careful to not exceed the load capacity of the
vehicle and follow instructions regarding weight distribution. These procedures
will ensure the stability and safety of your vehicle;
• Never drive with an excessive number of passangers/luggage exceeding the
maximum capacity of the vehicle;
• When driving in foggy weather conditions or under torrential rain, turn on the
low-beam lights. This will ensure your vehicle to be visible by other drivers/
pedestrians;
• Periodically require inspection of your vehicle’s electric system, brake system
and shock struts, and also perform calibration of the wheels, including the spare
tyre;
• Do not keep your vehicle in operation during long periods in enclosed areas,
because together with exhaust gases there is liberated carbon manoxide which
is a highly toxic agent.
• On steep slopes use the reduced gear to avoid the constant use of the brake
system and to ensure the control over the vehicle in any situation;
• Performing any electric welding in any part of the vehicle, disconnect the battery
cables and the electric module connectors.
NOTES:
• Carry out all periodical lubrication and re-tightening overhauls in your vehicle
according to the preventive maintenance chart;
• The welding equipment ground wire must be connected to the piece to be
welded;
